Jan Van Haute I come from a family of five children and have four sisters. I’m 31 years old.  My passions are cooking, eating good food and traveling.  I studied for five years at ‘Spermalie’ Culinary School in Bruges, Belgium.  For the past ten years, I worked for the Royal Family of Belgium and in some high-end Belgian restaurants, including the Michelin 3-star restaurant “Hof van Cleve” in Kruishoutem.  I have done traineeships at the Michelin 2-star Ryu Gin restaurant in Tokyo, Japan, and at Vue de Monde in Melbourne, Australia.  For the past 2,5 years I have been the Chef of the Belgian Ambassador to the United States.  I would love to open my own restaurant in the future.
